Allergy Symptoms – Take charge of annoying allergy symptoms
Better Understanding of Annoying Allergy Symptoms
If itchy eyes, a runny nose, sneezing, and coughing are part of your everyday life, you could be super sensitive to common sub- stances, like plant pollen, dust mites, mold, animal dander, feathers, or chemicals. Normally harmless to most people, these allergens can cause the mucous membranes in your eyes, nose, throat, and sinuses to go wild.

Although there is no cure for allergies, you can control them by avoiding the things that trigger your symptoms in the first place.
Some Precautions are given below:
- Choose nonaerosol household cleaning products.
- Avoid cigarette or cigar smoke.
- Keep the humidity inside your house at less than 50 per- cent to reduce mold.
- Stay away from birds, cats, and dogs.
- Try to plan your outdoor activities away from seasonal grasses and weeds that release pollen.
- After working in your yard or garden, remove your clothes, shower, and rinse your nostrils with salt water.
- Install a filter system on your air conditioner.
- Dust with a wet cloth to trap allergens. A dry cloth simply spreads the dust around into the air.
- Replace wall-to-wall carpeting with wood or vinyl floors. Put down area rugs that can be cleaned or washed regularly.
- Repair leaking faucets or pipes to reduce the growth of mold.
And here’s another thing you should consider – dust mites. These tiny insects live in bedding, rugs, carpets, cushions, stuffed toys, and mattresses. They eat dead, sloughed-off human skin cells and give off waste material that can trigger allergic reactions.
The good news is mites can be killed by hot-water washing or dry cleaning. This means fabric items more frequently washed or dry-cleaned are less likely to contain dust mites and other aller-gens. Wool clothing and linens, for instance, usually contain more mites because they are washed less often. Remember though, if you wash your bedding in cold water, you may remove most of the mite waste materials but not the live mites.
Here’s how to kill dust mites and remove their allergens:
- Choose clothes and linens that can be washed regularly in very hot water.
- Store out-of-season clothes and linens under dry conditions, since mites need moisture.
- Wash or dry clean items after they’ve been stored for a season.
- Tumble items in a hot dryer.
- Cover your mattress and pillows with plastic.
- Place items in a deep freeze for at least 24 hours.
Hope this gives you a lot help about Allery Symptoms.
